The legislation is the “Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration Act.”
“The NTC should be strict in implementing the SIM registration law and proactive in plugging the gaps,” according to the senator from Valenzuela City.

These POGOs are being linked to .kidnapping, torture, human trafficking, murder and money laundering.
Due to public outcry, President Marcos, in his third state-of-the-nation address (SONA) last July 22, banned all POGOs in the country.
As expected, the total ban on POGOs drew praises from various quarters, including the ordinary citizens across the Philippines.
“Sa totoo lang, bumalik ang trust and confidence ng taumbayan sa ating gobyerno dahil sa desisyong ito ni Pangulong Marcos,” a village official said.
In the view of many, “this breakthrough decision is most welcome.”
