
Teodoro files COC for Marikina mayor
MARIKINA City Rep. Maan Teodoro has officially filed her certificate of candidacy for Marikina City Mayor in the 2025 mid-term elections.
Teodoro has pledged to further enhance the city through digitalization and improved ease of doing business.
“Magtatrabaho tayo para mapaganda at mapalawak pa ang nasimulan ni Mayor Marcy. Una na rito ang sapat na pondo at suporta para sa ating small and medium enterprises,” Teodoro said in an interview after filing her COC.
“Sasabayan natin ito ng pinaigting na pagpapatupad ng ating ease of doing business para mapagaan ang proseso para sa ating mga negosyante at upang makahikayat ng mas marami pang negosyo sa ating siyudad,” she added.
She emphasized her commitment to making Marikina a climate-resilient city, prioritizing the safety of residents amid the challenges posed by climate change, particularly during typhoons.
A key part of her agenda includes the digitalization of government processes, aimed at making life easier for Marikina residents as they avail of the local government’s programs and services.
“Sa kabuuan, nais naging pagandahin at pagbutihin pa ang ating mahal na siyudad at makapaghatid ng mas marami pang serbisyo sa ating mga residente,” said Teodoro, who has incumbent Vice Mayor Marion Andres as running mate under the Team Marikina City.
Team Marikina City fields incumbent Mayor Marcy Teodoro and Donn Carlo Favis as representatives for Districts 1 and 2, respectively.
In District 1, the party’s candidates for Councilor include Kate de Guzman, Cloyd Casimiro, Jojo Banzon, Pat Sicat, Rossette Sarmiento, Adams Bernardino, Hazel Golangco, and Ginny Santos Pioquinto.
For District 2, Angel Nuñez, Larry Punzalan, Fe Dayao, Jaren Feliciano, Michael Mojica, Bogs Reyes, Estelita Makiramdam, and Elvis Tolentino will run for Councilor under the Teodoro-Andres ticket.
