THE Department of Education (DepEd), headed by Secretary Sonny Angara, launched the other day its 2025 summer programs.

The summer programs are designed to address the gaps in learning in the country’s basic education.

DepEd’s 2025 summer activities include Bawat Bata Makababasa Program, Literacy Remediation Program, Summer Academic Remediation Program, Regional Remediation Program, and 2025 Learning Camp..

The holding of the summer programs is in line with the directive of President Marcos to advance quality education among learners and ensure the well-being of teachers.

Angara said the government wants to provide support and resources to help learners overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Participating teachers will be granted vacation service credits, professional recognition on top of the 30-day maximum in service credits for teachers.
