Stags, Pirates triumph
AN inspired San Sebastian side bested Arellano University, 21-25, 25-18, 17-25, 23-25, to bolster its Final Four aspirations in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
Juna Gonzales had 22 points and 20 receptions as the Lady Stags avenged their straight-set loss to the Lady Chiefs late in the first round which was hacked out in front of the school’s V-League resident import and current Nakhon Ratchasima assistant coach Jang Bualee.

In the men’s division, Kyle Villamor had 28 points, 27 receptions and 16 digs as San Sebastian outlasted Arellano, 23-25, 27-25, 25-12, 25-27, 16-14, for only its second win of the season.
