THE office of Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list, led by Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez along with Caloocan Rep. Mitch Cajayon-Uy, distributed packs of fish and rice to 2,000 indigent families in Caloocan City.

Also present in the event was comedy star Giselle Sanchez as well as the barangay captains of the second district of Caloocan.

The program dubbed “Tingog ISDA Best” aims to provide immediate food assistance to families in crisis and communities in need, enabling them to augment the source of daily needs and elevate their overall well-being.

The mackerel that were distributed were locally sourced from Palawan.

In her message, Rep. Yedda highlighted Tingog’s advocacy to uplift the marginalized communities.

“Naniniwala kami na ang pag-unlad ng bansa ay nakasalalay sa sama-sama at sabay-sabay na pagunlad ng mga mamamayan nito. Kaya laging first priority ng Tingog ang magserbisyo sa mga marginalized at vulnerable communities,” she said.

The event ended with a classic Filipino tradition of boodle fight, a gathering of people as equals in the table and sharing food.
