THE House of Representatives on Thursday welcomed the latest survey results showing Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez maintaining high trust ratings despite relentless political attacks and fake news, with Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. hailing it as proof that the nation is in steady and capable hands.

Gonzales said the April 2025 Tugon ng Masa survey by OCTA Research, which showed Speaker Romualdez earning a 54 percent trust rating nationwide, is proof to his steady leadership during turbulent political times.

He added that the consistent trust in Speaker Romualdez reflects the strength and focus of the House of Representatives he leads.

The survey, conducted from April 2 to 5, showed that Speaker Romualdez’s trust ratings remain resilient across the country, with particularly strong numbers in the Visayas at 64 percent and among Filipinos belonging to Class E at 61 percent.

His consistently high trust ratings, despite heavy political noise, indicate a broad and inclusive base of support, according to Gonzales.

Gonzales emphasized that Speaker Romualdez’s leadership provides a crucial anchor not just for the House of Representatives but for the whole nation.

He noted that the Speaker’s trust rating mirrors the trust in the House of Representatives itself, which under Speaker Romualdez’s stewardship has passed numerous landmark legislation aimed at protecting economic gains, strengthening social programs, and ensuring peace and order across the country.

“We are in capable hands, and the Filipino people know it. Their continued trust is the clearest affirmation of the kind of leadership that the House and the nation need today,” Gonzales said.
