Speaker Romualdez stands in solidarity with quake victims in Mindanao
SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Friday night expressed his unwavering commitment to supporting and standing in solidarity with the victims of a magnitude 6.8 earthquake that hit Southern Mindanao on Friday.
In these challenging times, Speaker Romualdez assured the affected communities of government strong support under the leadership of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.
“The House of Representatives extends its unwavering support to the people of Mindanao following the severe magnitude 6.8 earthquake. We are keeping our kababayans in the impacted areas in our thoughts and prayers as they face this difficult situation. Prioritizing the safety and welfare of our citizens is essential,” Speaker Romuladez said.
“My office is actively coordinating with key agencies, including Phivolcs and the NDRRMC (National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council), to facilitate prompt and effective response actions,” he said.
Speaker Romualdez said, “The House is committed to supporting the national government in mobilizing necessary resources for the relief and rehabilitation of the affected communities.”
“This is a moment for all Filipinos to unite and show our collective strength. Your kindness and aid are crucial in helping those affected by this calamity,” Speaker Romualdez said.
“To our brothers and sisters in Mindanao, you are not facing this alone. Your resilience and strength are an inspiration to us, and we stand with you. Together, we will rebuild and come out of this stronger than ever,” Speaker Romualdez added.
