Romualdez couple thank Manalo for kind heart, malasakit for PH
SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez on Monday wished a long life for Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo who celebrates his 68th birthday this Tuesday.
The Romualdez couple also thanked Bro. Eduardo for his “kind heart” in serving God and the country with great passion and “malasakit” (compassion).
“We unite with the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the entire world in extending our heartfelt and warm greetings to you, Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, as you celebrate your 68th birth anniversary,” Speaker Romualdez, the leader of the 300-plus strong House of Representatives, said.
“On this special day, we celebrate not just your birthday but also the remarkable leadership and guidance you’ve provided to the INC and its members. Your unwavering dedication to the faith and your tireless efforts in leading and nurturing the Church have been a source of inspiration for all of us,” he said.
Rep. Yedda Romualdez credited Bro. Eduardo Manalo for the good character formation of Filipinos, especially the youth.
“On your birthday, we also wish the Iglesia ni Cristo all the best as you propagate the faith in every part of the globe. May the Lord continue to bless your efforts in spreading the good news of salvation and in living a life of good deed. Maraming salamat po sa serbisyo. Maraming salamat po sa malasakit,” Rep. Yedda Romualdez said.
She said Filipinos were “so fortunate to have Iglesia ni Cristo which is consistently behind productive endeavors for the poor.”
Rep. Yedda Romualdez recalled anew that Bro. Eduardo has been helping less fortunate people through INC’s spiritual programs, and “malasakit” livelihood and assistance programs.
“On this day, let us also express our deepest appreciation to all the contributions that you have made to improve the living conditions of our people. For all your efforts, may your name be forever exalted. Muli, isang mapagpalang kaarawan Ka Eduardo,” the lady House leader said.
Speaker Romualdez said, “Your (Ka Eduardo) commitment to the INC and its mission has been extraordinary. Under your guidance, the Church has flourished and touched the lives of countless individuals worldwide.”
“As Executive Minister, you’ve led the INC with wisdom and grace while demonstrating compassion and concern for the brethren’s welfare. Your determination to address both spiritual and material needs sets a shining example for all of us to follow,” Speaker Romualdez said.
Speaker Romualdez wished the continued success of the INC leader in the fulfillment of his aspirations for the Filipinos as one of the country’s moral compasses.
“On your birthday, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your selfless service. Your leadership has fostered unity, growth, and strength within the INC. We pray for your continued good health, happiness, and success in your endeavors. May God continue to guide and protect you as you lead us forward in faith and love,” Speaker Romualdez said.
He added: “Happy birthday, Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, and may your path ahead be as bright as the one you’ve demonstrated for the Iglesia Ni Cristo!”
