Speaker Romualdez: Christ’s Resurrection represents hope, renewal of values, triumph over adversity
SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Sunday reminded Filipinos that Easter represents hope, renewal of values, and triumph over adversity.
“This Easter Sunday, we pause to honor a truth that lies at the center of our faith: even in our darkest moments, there is always the promise of renewal. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not only a triumph over death but a reminder that no sorrow is final and no burden is carried alone,” Speaker Romualdez said in a short Easter message to the people.
“We see this truth reflected in the lives of our people. In the strength of families facing hardship, in the quiet resilience of those who keep going despite the odds, and in the everyday acts of kindness that often go unseen, we witness the grace that holds our nation together,” Speaker Romualdez said.
The leader of the 306-member House of Representatives said for those in positions of leadership, Easter offers this powerful message:
“True service is not defined by title or power, but by the ability to listen, to act with compassion, and to place the needs of others above personal interest. It is in these quiet acts of duty that the spirit of public service is fully realized.”
“Let this sacred day renew in us the values that endure. May we move forward not only with hope, but with a deeper sense of responsibility to care for one another and to build a country that lifts every life and leaves no one behind,” Speaker Romualdez said.
On behalf of the House of Representatives, Speaker Romualdez wished Filipinos “a blessed and meaningful Easter.”
“May the Risen Christ bring peace to your homes and guide our shared journey toward a future filled with faith, purpose, and grace,” Speaker Romualdez said.
