SONA briefer
PRESIDENT Marcos delivers a brief state-of-the-nation address tomorrow, Monday, but the administration plans to distribute SONA briefer to various sectors of society.
The SONA briefer discusses in detail the government’s plans and achievements, particularly those that might not make the Chief Executive’s annual report to the Filipino people.
“Para malaman ng tao kung ano ‘yung ginagawa natin at kung ‘yung mga pangako na ating sinabi ay kung talaga nating tinutupad,” said the workaholic President from Ilocos Norte.
This year’s SONA will focus on updates on the administration’s efforts to uplift the lives of the people, improve the economy, and adddress other social problems.
The first two SONAs of Mr. Marcos lasted for just 74 minutes and 70 minutes in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Various quarters described the distribution of SONA briefer, a new feature of the annual report of the President, as “timely.”
The briefer will be distributed to public and private stakeholders and schools.
“Kulang ang tatlong oras kung i-detalye ng Presidente ang lahat ng kanyang achievements at balak gagawin,” according to an observer.
That’s why President Marcos wants his Cabinet members (department secretaries) to help him in explaining details of his programs of action.
President Marcos’ alter-egos play crucial roles in detailing government efforts to uplift the living conditions of the people, notably the poor.
