SILANG, Cavite – The distribution of financial assistance to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Silang town led by Mayor Kevin Anarna and administator Jung Anarna started on Wednesday in Bgy. Inchican.

Mayor Anarna was accompanied by staff members of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by Medardo Arenasa III.

The door-to-door delivery of financial assistance, with a budget of P37 million for 37,000 senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), was first
promised by the local chief executive.

“Naisip ko pa kase, mas mainam na tayo na ang magdala ng tulong sa mga senior citizen at PWDs naten instead of pupunta pa sila sa every barangay nila to get their respective aid,” the mayor said.

The distribution of the financial aid was a proof of care and support of the local government to seniors and PWDs of Silang town.

Local leaders will go around to 63 other barangays to distribute the assistance to the elders and PWDs.
