Senatorial bet thanks Iloilo City execs for support
DEPUTY Speaker Las Pinas Representative Camille Villar has expressed gratitude to the local officials in Iloilo City for endorsing her senatorial bid.
Speaking before the big crowd during the kick-of rally of Team Uswag at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand, Villar also thanked political kingpin, Mayor Jerry Treñas, and local officials for the warm welcome.
Embodying a winning spirit, Villar joined the Uswag Team — led by mayoral candidate Inday Raisa Treñas and re-electionist Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon — during the proclamation rally, where the local officials vowed to continue championing progress in the southern city.
In Ilonggo, Treñas urged people of Iloilo City to support Villar.
Villar also reciprocated the kindness of the Uswag Ilonggo party-list, headed by Rep. James “Jojo” Ang, who is rallying for the support of their fellow Kasimanwas come this May 2025 polls.
For her part, Villar vowed not to disappoint, committing to further enhance efforts to provide livelihood, create jobs, and advance women empowerment, promote gender equality and improve education.
Backed with 15-year experience in public service and the private sector, Villar hopes to bring a new perspective in dealing with current challenges as well as in the crafting of legislation.
Villar is the youngest among the senatorial candidates for the May 2025 midterm elections.
