
Seaman found dead in quarantine hotel
A 41-YEAR-OLD seaman was found dead in a quarantine hotel in Paco, Manila on May 4.
PSSg Erikson Aguilar of the Manila Police District-homicide section said that attendants of the Go Hotel, which is being used as a quarantine facility for seamen, found the lifeless victim on the bed. The victim is a seaman of the Philippine Transmarine Carriers Inc. based in Tanauan,Batangas.
Police said the victim arrived from Hongkong last April 25 and checked in at the said hotel.
On May 2, his RT-PCR swab test result came out and he was negative for the virus.
Room attendant Audrey Felicilda told the police that she was bringing food to the victim when she found the door ajar. When she entered, she was surprised to find the victim already dead so that she immediately sought help from her co-workers.
A nebulizer was also found on the bed and police said there is no indication of any foul play. His room was also in order.
The victim was last seen alive on May 3, talking with someone on his cellphone.
