Sarah resign now — Rep. Chua, Mayors Benitez & Treñas
A LAWMAKER from Manila and two mayors in the Visayas called for the resignation of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
According to Manila 3rd District Cong. Joel Chua, VP Sara can’t just let her family criticize Pres. Marcos, because she is a member of his Cabinet.
“Kung disente siyang tao, magbitiw na lang siya sa gabinete dahil kontra naman ang pamilya niya sa administrasyon,” Cong. Chua said. “Wala naman siyang nagagawa sa DepEd.”
“Ayaw din niyang magkomento hinggil sa pangha-harass sa ating Navy at Coast Guard sa West Philippine Sea. Mas matimbang ba ang China sa kanya?,” Chua asked.
As for Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez, it is not good to see that a Cabinet member was there in the rally of those criticizing the Marcos administration.
“Kung may natitira pang delikadesa sa kanyang katauhan, mas magandang bumitiw na siya sa puwesto para mapanatili ang integridad at pagkakaisa sa administrasyon,” according to Mayor Benitez.
Meanwhile, Iloilo Mayor Jerry Trenyas was also not happy with VP Duterte’s behavior during a prayer rally against Pres. Marcos. “Hindi tama na miyembro siya ng administrasyon pero tila sumasang-ayon siya sa mga banat sa pangulo sa mga rally,” Mayor Trenyas said. It is expected that more legislators and local chief executives will also express their sentiments against VP Sara.
