Robbers flee with lady cop’s gun, cash, money
A 34-YEAR-OLD lady cop sought police assistance after unidentified suspects forcibly entered her rented house in Batangas Saturday and took her service firearm and cash money.
Case officers P/Cpls Brein Alcantara, Jon Rien Mendroz, and Juan Ferador Alzate identified the victim as PCpl. Eizza Johann Ocado, single, a PNP member of Batangas City PS, a native of Tayabas, Quezon and resident of Bgy. Gulod Itaas.
Initial investigation showed that between 11:30 p.m. on August 6, and 4:40 a.m. on August 7, the suspects too, the victim’s issued firearm, a Glock 17 9MM pistol with serial number PNP67052 and cash amounting to P5,000.
The suspects managed to escape.
The victim discovered the robbery when woke up at around 4:40 a.m. on the same date.
Police are conducting a follow-up operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
