Rep. Marcos elected senior Deputy Majority Leader

THE House super majority led by Speaker Martin G. Romualdez on Tuesday elected presidential son and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos as senior Deputy Majority Leader.
Romualdez presided over the session when Marcos was named one of its high-ranking House leaders where the election of Tingog party-list Rep. Jude Acidre was also announced.
It was Romualdez who mentored Marcos at the House Majority Leader’s office.
Romualdez was the House Majority Leader in the previous 18th Congress.
Marcos will be one of the leaders under the powerful House committee on rules chaired by Zamboanga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe.
Aside from Acidre, also named Deputy Majority Leaders were Reps. Josephine Lacson-Noel, Marlene Primicias-Agabas, Lianda Bolilia, and Franz Pumaren.
Reps. Anna Victoria Veloso Tuazon, Sancho Fernando Oaminal, Jaime Cojuangco, Richard Gomez, and Raul Angelo Bongalon were designated as House Assistant Majority Leaders.
