SIX consecutive victories and counting for Rain or Shine.

Demetrius Treadwell provided the spark as Rain or Shine escaped with a 112-111 win over Converge FiberXers in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Rain or Shine held a seven-point lead, 109-102, with 2:03 remaining in the final frame.

However, Converge mounted a 6-0 run after calling a timeout, narrowing the lead to just one point at 108-109 with 1:27 left on the clock.

Treadwell executed a fadeaway jumper, providing the E-Painters with a three-point lead with 38 seconds remaining.

Converge attempted two three-point shots to equalize, but both were unsuccessful. Gabe Norwood then split his free throws, extending Rain or Shine;s lead to four points with 12 seconds left.

King Caralipio managed to make a three-point shot, bringing the deficit to just one point at the end.

Treadwell nearly achieved a triple -double, finishing with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting, 17 rebounds, and eight assists in 40 minutes of action for coach Yeng Guiao.

Beau Belga, coming off the bench, contributed 19 points and four rebounds, while Keith Datu added 10 points and five rebounds.

James Yap also made a contribution with nine points.

Rain or Shine ended their elimination round on a positive note with 6-5 win-loss record.

Jamil Wilson spearheaded the offensive charge for Converge with 26 points on 10-of-25 shooting, along with 13 rebounds, nine assists, and three blocks for coach Aldin Ayo.

Justine Arana contributed 19 points and seven rebounds, while Bryan Santos tallied 18 points.

Caralipio also had a notable contribution with 16 points in a losing effort.
