ANOTHER SENATOR, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian said it is high time for Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy to attend in the Senate to face his accusers in the Senate investigation being conducted by the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality chaired by Senator Risa Hontiveros.

In an interview with teleradyo, Gatchalian reminded Quiboloy that the subpoena issued by the committee is a serious matter as he urged the latter not to decline it again and respect it by showing up st the hearing.

“Flight means guilt. Importante na respetuhin ang proseso. Sa mga nakikita ko sa mga kaso in the past, pag nagtatago ka na, guilty ka na kaagad. importante dito ay sundan ang proseso at nasa kapangyarihan ng ating institusyon sa Senado na mag isyu ng subpoena at lahat naman po ng Pilipino kapag naisyuhan talaga ng subpoena ay talagang susunod. Dahil yan ang sistema natin para marinig ka at ma defend mo ang sarili mo at masabi mo ang gusto mong sabihin at mapaliwanag mo kung ano ang mga akusasyon sayo.” Sen. Gatchalian was quoted as saying.

In another interview, Senator Risa Hontiveros said Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader and founder Pastor Quiboloy will have to face the full force of the law if he continue to ignore the summon which was sent already to him in his address in Davao City.

Hontiveros confirmed that she will be coordinating with the Department of Interior and Local Govt particularly with the Philippine National Police in order to make sure that Quiboloy will be arrested if he fail to appear in the upcoming hearing this March 5, 2024.

She also shrugged off the claimed of Quiboloy that his life is in danger and that he is facing rendition from the US government which he said was in connivance with the present government of President Marcos jr. and his wife, first lady Lisa Araneta Marcos.

“So may patong siya sa ulo? O come on. Huwag na siyang magpilit na mag pa victim pa. Ang mga tunay na biktima dito ay ang mga victim survivors na matapos magbigay testimonya dito ay minatyagan o nag casing na sila sa mga ito.” Hontiveros said.

The senate is presently focusing on various criminal charges against Quiboloy allegedly on sexual abuses of minors, human trafficking, harassment and other criminal charges being hurled against him by his former followers who claimed to be victims of Quiboloy and his KOJC leaders.

Hontiveros said not even the Supreme Court can stop her senate committee to conduct this hearing in aid of legislation.

“Paninindigan ng komite `yung subpoena, kahit nagtatago siya, isi-serve `yung subpoena sa kanyang known address. Mari-receive `yan. So ibig sabihin, makakarating sa kanya. At by now, alam niya na sina-subpoena siya ng Senado,” Hontiveros maintained.

As for his current situations where Quiboloy claimed that he is presently hiding after receiving information that the CIA and the FBI will kidnap him for worse, eliminate him, Hontiveros said she will not bite this kind of alibi considering that Quiboloy snubbed her invitation in the past twice already including the subpoena they issued him recently.

“Ang mga naunang imbitasyon at subpoena na pinadala sa kanya ay dinedma niya, kayat ang susunod na hakbang na pagpapa-contempt at pagpapaaresto sa kanya ang aming gagawin at pwede natin siyang paalalayan sa PNP kung hihilingin niya,” Hontiveros suggested.

For Pastor Quiboloy, he stood his ground never to attend the hearing in the Senate as well as in the House of Representatives insisting that this was a mere political show to implicate former President Rodrigo Duterte and daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte.

“Ikaw Risa Hontiveros, at kayong tatlo diyan na nasa Kongreso na puro leftist, hinahamon ko kayo. Pumunta kayo sa Korte sapagkat ang SMNI ay walang kasalanan pero ginorgor ninyo sapagkat dinadawit ninyo kami sa pulitika. Ayaw din ninyong ipaharap ang mga false accusers. Ang mga pinagagawa nila ay talagang to destroy my reputation para idamay sina Duterte family. Doon sa kapupuntahanan ng inyong imbestigasyon na walang kakwenta kwenta.” Quiboloy said.

Earlier, Quiboloy denied the all the allegations that he raped female assistants or “pastorals” in the KOJC, saying describing it as a made up story ,”because these women only wanted to enrich themselves and were fighting over me.”

“Pinag aagawa nga nila ako. Mahirap man itong sabihin pero nananawag na sila sa kanilang mga magulang na yayaman na raw sila pag nangyari ito. Ngunit nanindigan ako na hindi mangyayari yan dahil dedicated ako kayat ayon nga at napahiya sila. Nabayaran at ngayon ay binabaliktad lahat ng storya laban na sa akin,” Quiboloy said.
