
QCPD holds 53 outreach drives, helps 4,057 folk
THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD), along with the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), Stations’ Community Affairs Section (SCAD), and in collaboration with Advocacy Support Groups, conducted 53 outreach programs from May 31 to June 6, 2024.
These efforts reached 4,057 residents and played a vital role in a weeklong community engagement campaign.
QCPD personnel delivered lectures on a variety of topics, including Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness (CATA), Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program/Drug Awareness, Crime Prevention Safety Tips, the Safe Spaces Act, Bomb Awareness, R.A. 10627 (the Anti-Bullying Act), R.A. 9262 (the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), R.A. 8353 (the Anti-Rape Law), Human Rights, Gender Sensitivity/Equality, and other Special Laws.
The policemen also organized livelihood programs, tree planting and clean-up drives and distributed IEC materials, food packs/hot meals, and newspapers to the beneficiaries.
“Building positive relationships with the community is essential for effective policing.
By actively listening to their needs and working together on solutions, we can create safer and more supportive neighborhoods for everyone,” QCPD Director P’Brig. Gen. Redrico A Maranan said.
