PTFoMS meets with National Privacy Commission
THE Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) headed by Executive Director Paul M. Gutierrez, spearheaded a meeting with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) headed by Commissioner Atty. John Henry Naga, to discuss the relevant provisions of the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) in relation to the PNP Memorandum Circular 37, series of 2020.
With their channels now open, Gutierrez also invited the NPC to participate in future activities of the PTFoMS, including the country’s preparation for the visit early next year of the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Opinion, Irene Khan.
Gutierrez was joined during the meeting by Presidential Human Rights Committee (PHRC) Executive Director Usec. Severo Catura and their staff and, PLt. Colonel Atty. Al Paglinawan, DIDM-PNP.
