PRO11 men jail 17 drug targets
POLICE Regional Office 7 director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Z. Rosete yesterday announced the arrest of 17 of their drug targets following a series of anti-narcotics operations over the past nine days which resulted in the confiscation of over P2 million worth of shabu.
Two of the suspects identified as Riche Torreon and Arman Mondonido yielded 70 grams of the “poor man’s cocaine” valued at P476,000 and an Ingram sub-machinegun with magazine containing four live ammunition during a buy-bust operation in Purok Daisy, Bgy. Magupising in Dujali, Davao del Norte past 9 p.m. Monday.
Two others identified as Rey Allan Ocampo and Jayson Mison were arrested in a sting in Purok 2, Bgy. 76-A in Davao City past 12 noon Tuesday which led in the confiscation of some eight grams of shabu worth nearly P49,000.
The 5th identified as Glenn Villanueva was arrested after he sold some P8,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in Daang Maharlika Street in Davao City past 1 p.m. last Saturday.
Another identified as Freddie Jhon Daug was arrested in Bgy. Pañalum in Paquibato District in Davao City around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. He yielded over two grams of shabu valued at nearly P13,000.
Four others identified as Jade Geguirra,24; Jennifer Milla,20; Jomar Guegirra,28; and Christian Incon ,26; were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Nagsil Village in Bgy. Centro, Agdao, Davao City which led to the seizure of six plastic packets containing 116.6 grams of shabu valued at P792,880.
The 11th identified as Christian Angelo Trimidal, a 32-year-old “HVI” from Purok Marba in Bgy. Don Martin Marundan in Mati City, Davao Oriental was arrested after he sold some P408,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in his neighborhood.
The 12th identified as Christopher Pagarigan was arrested during a sting along Dela Peña Street in Bgy. Cabantian, Buhangin District, Davao City. He yielded seven grams of shabu worth at least P45,000.
Another identified as Jogel Fantilaga yielded five plastic sachets containing nearly three grams of shabu worth P16,300 and an unlicensed cal. .38 revolver with two live ammunition during an anti-narcotics operation in Bgy. Tibal-og in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte.
The 14th identified as Rodrigo Aguipo was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur last Tuesday. He yielded nearly P9,000 worth of shabu.
Another identified as Ruel Ladura,46, was arrested in. sting in Bgy. Calinan in Davao City after he sold drugs to a poseur. Confiscated from the suspect were nearly P35,000 worth of shabu.
The 16th identified as Rey Mark Funtalera,30, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Baguio District, Davao, Recovered from his possession were nearly three grams of dried marijuana leaves.
The 17th identified as David Navarro yielded some P1,000 worth of shabu during a sting in Bgy. Catalunan Grande in Davao City while the 12th identified as Joselito Jovenal, 38, was arrested after he sold some P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in Buhangin District.
All suspects are facing criminal charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Torreon, Mondonido and Fantilaga were also charged for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013.
