PRO 1 chief wants stronger ties with Ilocos leaders

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, La Union – Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) Regional Director PBGen Lou Evangelista is hoping for a stronger ties with Ilocos leaders.

The official is set to meet this goal with a series of engagements with local government officials in La Union and Pangasinan starting last Jan. 3.

He made a courtesy call with San Fernando City Mayor Hermenegildo Gualberto in this camp.

The general and Mayor Gualberto held an open dialogue, laying the foundation for enhanced cooperation in ensuring the safety and security of San Fernando residents.

Later, Evangelista, accompanied by PCol. Jeff Fanged, director of Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, and PLt.Col. Edgar Palayapay, chief of police of Malasiqui Municipal Police Station paid a visit to 3rd District Representative, Hon. Maria Rachel J. Arenas in Malasiqui.

In the afternoon, the official conducted a spot inspection in Malasiqui Municipal Police Station.

Continuing the theme of collaboration, Evangelista also had a meeting with Malasiqui Mayor Noel Anthony Geslani and Vice-Mayor Alfe Soriano.

The meeting facilitated in-depth discussions on specific local concerns and the co-creation of initiatives to bolster safety and security throughout the municipality.

The final engagement was a courtesy call to Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez.

This visit reaffirmed PRO 1’s unwavering commitment to partnering with the city government in safeguarding the well-being of Dagupan residents.
