Polisiya pinaplantsa para pribadong sektor makapasok sa nuclear power generation
PINAPLANTSA ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno ang polisiya upang makasali ang pribadong sektor sa paglikha ng kuryente mula sa nuclear power.
Ayon kay Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla ang Department of Energy (DOE) ay nakikipagtulungan sa National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) para sa binabalangkas na polisiya
Ang pagtatayo ng mga nuclear power plant ay isa sa mga nakikitang solusyon ng administrasyong Marcos sa paglikha ng murang kuryente.
Sinabi rin ni Lotilla na ang Kongreso ay gumagawa rin ng panukala para sa legalidad ng pagtatayo ng mga nuclear power plant.
Noong Marso, inaprubahan na ng House Speaker Committee on Nuclear Energy ang substitute bill para sa comprehensive atomic regulatory framework at pagtatayo ng Philippine Atomic Regulatory Commission.
“With all these significant undertakings, rest assured that the Department of Energy of the Philippines will participate and initiate the Nuclear Energy and Emerging Technologies Program towards further enrichment in terms of the technical capacities and capabilities that form part of the programs,” ani Lotilla.
