Before I begin, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all those who sent their birthday greetings. Your heartfelt birthday wishes touched my soul. I am grateful for your presence in my life and for making my special day even more memorable. Thank you all for everything! For this weekly column, I am giving to you another batch of my #kasabihansakamalayan poems for you to reflect and ponder upon. I hope this will help you in your day-to-day journey.

If you want to find joy in LIFE — GIVE.
If you want to find consolation in LIFE — HOPE.
If you want to find purpose in LIFE — ASSIST.
If you want to find company in LIFE — LOVE.
If you want to find legacy in LIFE — SHARE.
If you want to find peace in LIFE — FORGIVE.
If you want to find meaning in LIFE — HELP.
If you want to find direction in LIFE — PRAY.
if you want to find success in LIFE — SACRIFICE.
If you want to find contentment in LIFE — APPRECIATE.
And, If you want to find YOURSELF in LIFE — SERVE.

People of Faith see things differently,
They see the Cross not as suffering
But as Redemption.
They see Good Friday not just for the pain
But as a prelude to Easter Sunday.
They see Suffering not to wallow in despair
But as an opportunity to be stronger.
They see Challenges not as road blocks
But as a chance to be more innovative.
They see Enemies not as adversaries,
But as individuals in a dialectics of thought.
They see Death not as the end of life
But as a journey back to our heavenly Father.

FREEDOM of choice,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of ethical judgement.
FREEDOM of speech,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of truthfulness.
FREEDOM of beliefs,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of dialogue.
FREEDOM of movement,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of discovery.
FREEDOM of religion,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of conversion.
FREEDOM of citizenship,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of patriotism.
And the FREEDOM of self determination,
Has the RESPONSIBILITY of leaving behind a legacy.
For in FREEDOM there is always a RESPONSIBILITY.

The ROAD may be long and winding,
But the scenery makes it enjoyable.
The ROAD may be bumpy and rough,
But the path would test our vehicular strength.
The ROAD may be dim and dark,
But the gloom opens the illumination of headlights.
The ROAD may be closed for passage,
But the detour opens new routes for the journey.
And the ROAD may be scary and lonesome,
But it brings us to trust that God is with us.

COUNT your smiles instead of your frowns.
COUNT your friends instead of your enemies.
COUNT your victories instead of your defeats.
COUNT your blessings instead of your misfortunes.
COUNT your successes instead of your failures.
COUNT your realizations instead of your idiocies.
COUNT your assets instead of your liabilities.
COUNT your opportunities instead of your rejections.
COUNT your loves instead of your hates.
For after you COUNT them you will discover how truly blessed you are.
