THE National Police Commission has cited the Philippine National Police headed by General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. for its continuing efforts to build solid partnership with the community it has sworn to ‘serve and protect.’

“The National Police Commission recognizes the crucial role that police-community relations play in achieving a secure and progressive nation.

We are proud of the PNP’s dedication to building a strong bond with the communities they serve, and we stand in full support of their efforts,” said Napolcom vice-chairperson Attorney Alberto A. Bernardo.

On behalf of Bernardo, also the Napolcom Executive Officer, Napolcom Commissioner Ricardo P. Bernabe emphasized the significance of police-community relations in creating a safer and more prosperous community.

Gen. Acorda expressed his gratitude to the men and women of the police force as well as their different stakeholders and community partners during the culmination of the 28th PCR Month Celebration at Camp Crame which showcased the collective efforts of the PNP in working hand-in-hand with various stakeholders to promote peace, harmony and progress in communities across the Philippines.

“We gather today to celebrate not only a month of fruitful endeavors but a year-round commitment to building bridges of trust and cooperation with the communities we proudly serve.

Our partnership with the public goes beyond maintaining law and order; it is the cornerstone of our mission to ensure the safety and security of every Filipino,” he said.

Gen. Acorda said that throughout the month, various activities have been spearheaded by the PNP Directorate for Police-Community Relations headed by Major Gen. Edgar Alan O. Okubo were conducted nationwide to strengthen the partnership between the police force and the public.

These efforts are guided by the PNP’s Five-Focused Agenda, which aims to address crucial areas such as anti-illegal drugs, anti-criminality, internal cleansing, and improved police-community relations, he said.
