PJ’s Yu back as Malacañang Press Corps president
THE Malacañang Press Corps ( MPC) has elected its new set of officers for 2024 to 2025.
Elected president was Chona A. Yu of People’s Journal and the Journal Group of Publications news platforms.
Yu has already served as MPC president in 2022.
Voted vice presidents were Ivan Mayrina (GMA 7) for television, Leth Narciso (DZRH) for radio, Anna Bajo (GMA News Online) for online and Jocelyn Montemayor (Malaya) for print.
Catherine Valente (Manila Times) was elected secretary while Evelyn Quiroz (Pilipino Mirror) was elected treasurer.
Helen Flores (Philippine Star) was elected Auditor while Maricel Halili (TV 5) and Allan Francisco (PTV 4) were elected sergeants of arms.
The MPC is composed of journalists covering the presidential beat.
