PCSO GM Robles files charges vs vlogger
PHILIPPINE Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles recently filed charges of defamation, defamation per se, and invasion of privacy against a vlogger.
In a press statement, GM Robles said that he and his wife Sherwil have decided to file the charges to defend the honor, name, reputation and dignity of their family, and “stop the suspect from continuously harassing and maligning them.”
“Ang sabi ng tatay ko, hindi na baleng mawala ang yaman, huwag lang ang ngalan,” GM Robles said.
In the complaint, the Robleses narrated that for almost a year now, they have been subjected by the suspect to an almost daily barrage of vicious and false attacks.
“For reasons unknown to us, she continues to deliberately spread malicious lies against us, while also calling me various names that were meant to deride, and denigrate my reputation,” said GM Robles.
He added that he had been accused of stealing money from the people, contract killing and even assisting terrorists.
GM Robles confessed that they tried to keep their peace for the longest time.
“We are law-abiding citizens who did nothing to harm her in any way. It is our right therefore to defend our names and reputations, especially my wife, who is a private citizen and has dedicated herself to raising our family and in supporting charitable causes,” GM Robles said. By JOSEPH MUEGO
