PBBM sa pagpili ng bagong Kalihim ng DepEd: We have to get it right
NAHIHIRAPAN si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na pumili ng bagong kalihim ng Department of Education.
Sa ambush interview sa ceremonial signing ng pagsasanib-pwersa ng Partido Federal ng Pilipinas at National Unity Party sa Makati City, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na kailangan niya ng dagdag na panahon para pag-aralan ang kwalipikasyo ng susunod na kalihim ng DepEd.
“It turns out it’s harder than I thought because we absolutely have to get it right. So I’m giving myself more time. Sa madaling sabi, oo nahirapan akong pumili dahil napaka-komplikado ng trabaho ng DepEd,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Una nang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos noong Hunyo 27 na iaanunsyo niya ang bagong kapalit ni Duterte bago matapos ang linggong ito.
“As I told you before, we have to see, really, what the DepEd needs. Of course, there are many calls for the new secretary to be an educator. There are many calls for the new secretary to be an administrator. There are new calls for a historical professor. All of these, and they are all valid concerns. That’s what education is all about,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“And that is why– I’ve gone through so many curriculum vitaes (CVs). Marami tayong magagaling. It’s– we have to choose somebody who has an understanding of what is important in terms of being an educator. But then we also have to find– the same person has to have those qualities that can galvanize this very, very large democracy, which is the DepEd, and to achieve all of those gains, or all of those changes, to make the educational standard better,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Pinagbabasehan ni Pangulong Marcos ang test score.
Mahalaga ayon sa Pangulo na maiintindihan ng bagong kalihim ng DepEd ang lagay ng edukasyon sa bansa.
“Mahirap ang trabaho ng DepEd. That’s why we have to thank Inday Sara for, really, the effort that she put in. There’s a great deal more work to be done, and we’ll find the right person for it,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Tumanggi naman si Pangulong Marcos na tukuyin kung ilan ang nasa shortlist para pagpilian.
Nagsumite si Duterte ng resignation letter noong Hunyo 19 at magiging epektibo sa Hulyo 19.
