Palawan town election officer, wife murdered
AN election officer and his wife on Saturday were found murdered inside their house in Bgy. Cambian, Agutaya, Palawan.
The victims were identified as Emmanuel Gacot, the election officer of Agutaya town, and his wife Frenie, owner of the Palawan Pawnshop Agutaya branch.
A neighbor found the couple dead around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Emmanuel was found lying in a prone position inside the bedroom while his wife was found in the kitchen, with blood on her head.
Police are eyeing robbery as motive for the killing.
Authorities are checking CCTV footages in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspect/suspects.
