P2 dagdag pasahe titingnan kung tatakbo
PAG-AARALAN ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang hiling ng ilang transport group na dagdagan ng P2 ang minimum na pamasahe sa mga Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ) sa kada unang apat na kilometro.
Ayon kay LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III, kinikilala ng ahensya ang karapatan ng mga operator at tsuper na nais maghain ng panukala hinggil sa dagdag pasahe.
“There are many factors to consider when reviewing fare hike petitions or requests. These factors should have to be carefully studied, reviewed and validated by the Board before we can allow any fare hikes.
We understand the urgency of the situation and that is why the Board will convene to determine if the fare hike request has merit,” pahayag ni Guadiz.
Matatandaang noong nakaraang linggo nagpadala ng sulat ang ilang transport groups tulad ng Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators sa Pilipinas (LTOP), Pagkakaisa ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide (PISTON), Stop & Go Transport Coalition Inc., at The Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines (FEJODAP) upang pormal na hilingin sa LTFRB ang karagdagang P2 pasahe sa mga PUJ.
