The entrapment operation on the national highway in Lagao, General Santos City conducted by undercover officers from the local CIDG and police office led to the arrest of Elgin Villa, the secretary/cashier of Benta Rice 169 Corporation.

The accused was placed under arrest after she sold to a poseur P1,000 worth of unregistered Puma mosquito coil without a Certificate of Product Registration from the Food and Drug Authority.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of an official receipt issued by the suspect, 693 cases of King Ma mosquito coil, 222 cases of Fuma mosquito coil, 70 cases of Baoma Black Mosquito Repellent Incense Spirales Anti-Mosquitoes, 153 cases of Banma High-Quality Black Mosquito Repellent Incense Lengen Micro-Smoke, 11 cases of Popa mosquito coil, and 128 cases of King Ma Aerosol insecticide.

A CPR is a certificate necessary for the marketing or free distribution of a product after evaluation of its safety, efficacy and quality by the FDA.

The confiscated pieces of evidence together with the arrested person were brought to the CIDG Sarangani Provincial Field Unit for proper documentation and disposition.
