P.3M shabu seized, 3 drug suspects fall in QC busts

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested three drug suspects and confiscated P380,800.00 worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations.

At 1:40 a.m. of January 13, 2024 at Road 16 corner Road 19 Brgy. Bahay Toro, Quezon City, District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) operatives under PMAJ Wennie Ann Cale arrested Jerome Juanillas, 24, and a resident of Sitio San Juan, Pasay City.

Based on the report, a buy-bust operation was initiated by the DDEU operatives after receiving a report from a concerned citizen regarding the alleged drug peddling activity of the suspect. One of the said operatives acted as a poseur buyer and bought P45,000.00 worth of shabu from Juanillas and at the given pre-arranged signal, he was arrested.

Confiscated from the suspects were 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, a black coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLTCOL Reynaldo Vitto, they arrested Ervin Vinluan, 47, and Marjorie Vargas, 50, both residents of Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City at 6:45 p.m. of January 12, 2024 in their residence.

Seized from the suspects were six grams of shabu worth P40,800, a coin purse, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

“Let’s continue our intensified campaign against Illegal drugs to achieve a drug free Quezon City”, PBGEN Redrico A Maranan said as he lauded the DDEU and PS 4 operatives.
