Over P2.1-M shabu seized in Bataan buy-busts

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Members of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) over the weekend confiscated at least P2,152,200 worth of shabu in separate anti-drug operations in Abucay and Balanga City in Bataan.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Bataan police acting director Col. Marites Salvadora said the first operation was conducted by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Abucay police in Bgy. Capitangan.

Arrested were alias “Alvin” and alias “Izon,” both “high-value targets” (HVI) and residents of Bgy. Young.

Seized from the two were an estimated 66.5 grams of shabu worth P452,200.

In the next operation, Balanga City police operatives caught another “high-value individual” (HVI) identified as “Aldrin,” 28, a resident of Bgy. New Born.

Eight large sachets of shabu weighing 250 grams with an estimated value of P1,700,000 were recovered from the suspect.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
