OVER 13K COPS, SOLDIERS SECURE 2,871 CL VOTING CENTERS

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — More than 13,000 security personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army (PA), and various law enforcement units have been deployed to manage security at 2,871 voting centers throughout Central Luzon.

This operation started last October 28 and will continue until election day, ensuring the secure transfer of ballot boxes to the municipal Comelec office.

The security contingent includes 10,949 PRO3 personnel, 1,494 AFP soldiers, 542 BFP personnel, and 198 coast guards stationed at polling precincts, with additional quick reaction forces prepared to respond to any contingencies.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. assured the public they can vote safely since they have prepared a comprehensive security measures.

Hidalgo called on the lublic’s cooperation in adhering to security protocols such as at checkpoint and enforcement of gun and liquior ban.

“The collaborative efforts of security personnel and the vigilant public will ensure the success of this important democratic exercise,” Hidalgo said.
