Northern Mindanao, Bicol rule arnis

NORTHERN Mindanao captured the boys gold medal, while Bicol bagged the girls gold in arnis in the Palarong Pambansa 2023 at the Marist School in Marikina City.

Nilo Medel, Jr. King Joshua Makibalo and Sean Silvester Pagarigan took the boys gold in the elementary boys non-traditional synchronized Espada Y Daga Weapon.

Nathan Baladija, Melchor Bataican and Jhn Archie Cagatan of Western Visayas, and Kurt John Gandeza, Lourd Justin Lima and Cyron Sepi of Central Visayas settled for the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the elementary girls division, Ashly Evon de la Torre, Rockquel Juliene Relorcasa and Mellleiza Monteroso of Bicol took top honors, beating Ezrah Micah Parquez, Arianna Sayson and Rhian Nyra Emnace of CALABARZON and Arreanah Alvarado, Margarett Jhade Langruto and Ferbelle Padrequil of Western Visayas.

Cordillera Autonomous Region team of Princess Ysabelle Jorvina, Josela Rhiana Maddawat and Grasher Anne Lagunday emerged victorious with the gold medal in the synchronized double weapon event.

The silver medal went to Bicol team of De la Torre, Relorcasa and Monteroso, while the bronze medal went to Loriette Bless Lontiong, Francynne Hynesh Nicolas and Rejay Rosales of SOCCSKSARGEN.

The official results were released by Tournament Director Amado Macayan, EdD.and Chief Recorder Annie Belen Abangan.
