No reason for Sara, Kiko debate
Duterte’s formidable lead continues to grow, people prefer her unifying approach
THERE is no reason for Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential front-runner, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to debate with vice presidential candidate Sen. Francis Pangilinan because her unifying message, as shown by her formidable lead in various surveys, has been effectively connecting to the people, her spokesperson said Friday.
Liloan, Cebu Mayor Cristina Frasco, spokesperson of Duterte, said Duterte has been doing very well in her campaign since February 8 under the UniTeam Alliance.
“Since the beginning, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte has been in the frontlines of this campaign, giving the people a direct link to her person, her plans, and past performance that makes her the most qualified vice president for our country,” Frasco said.
Pangilinan challenged Duterte to a debate in a bid to allow the voters to assess the performance of the candidates.
But Frasco said the unifying message of Duterte for the Filipinos to stay solid to battle the nation’s perennial woes has been very productive and fruitful to her campaign.
“As every single one of the surveys have shown, Mayor Sara’s formidable lead continues to grow because the people clearly prefer her positive, unifying, and performance-based approach to the campaign,” Frasco added.
