No casualties in plane mishap
A CESSNA 206 aircraft of Aerohub with registry number RP-C979 crash landed at a shoreline in Barangay Tinaguiban, El Nido, Palawan Friday, December 10, at around 2:18 p.m., according to an initial report from the CAAP Operations and Rescue Coordination Center (ORCC).
The aircraft departed from San Vicente Airport at 1:06 p.m. en route to Sangley Airport in Cavite City, and force landed on the shoreline of Barangay Tiniguiban due to engine failure.
The flight carried 29 people on board and cargo containing live fish.
The pilot and crew were rescued safely, as per initial information from coast guard authorities.
As of 2:20 p.m. Friday, CAAP Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board’s (AAIIB) Go Team shall be dispatched to help determine the cause of the accident.
