A MAN wanted for a murder case in South Cotabato since 2012 was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in his hiding place in Tupi municipality last Sunday, PNP-CIDG director Maj. Gen. Nicolas D. Torre III announced yesterday.

The suspect identified only thru his alias “Jek-Jek” was arrested in Bgy. Palian in Tupi, South Cotabato on the strength of a warrant for murder issued by the Polomolok Regional Trial Court Branch 39.

Torre said that a CIDG Cotabato Provincial Field Unit tracker team apprehended the suspect following a tip from an informant.

“I commend the CIDG South Cotabato Provincial Field Unit for incessantly pursuing this fugitive and putting him behind bar. We have helped another victim and family attained the justice they deserved,” he said.

The arrest of the suspect came amid an order from PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil for the CIDG to further step-up its effort to account for all wanted criminals.
