
More Pinoys abroad get COVID
THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday said the number of fatalities among Filipinos abroad who were infected with COVID-19 increased to 32.47 percent this week.
Reports reaching the DFA also said compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries saw a slight decrease to 61.36% and those under treatment increased by 6.17%.
Fifteen new COVID cases were also reported, three new fatalities and nine recoveries.
“Today, the DFA received reports of 15 new COVID-19 cases, 9 new recoveries and 3 new fatalities among Filipinos abroad.”
The number of overseas Filipinos who tested positive for the virus is now 18,237, 5,921 undergoing treatment, 11,190 recoveries and 1,126 deaths in 93 countries/territories, the DFA reported.
Last week, the DFA bulletin said the death toll among Filipinos abroad was at 1,115, with the additional 47 fatalities.
