Mimaropa cops net 6 wanted persons
POLICE have arrested seven of the most wanted persons in Mindoro Oriental, Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan (Mimaropa) region in separate manhunt operations this week, Police Regional Office 4-B director Brigadier General Joel B. Doria said on Saturday.
One of the suspects, identified as Jonard Manlapaz alias ‘Meme,’ 34, is wanted for three counts of statutory rape with no bail recommended.
He was arrested in his hiding place in Barangay Irawan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
In El Nido, Palawan, police arrested Erick Somberto, 33, on the strength of a warrant of arrest for frustrated murder issued by the El Nido RTC Branch 164.
A P200,000 bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused, who was apprehended in Bgy. Villa Libertad.
Gilbert Huera, 42, the third arrested felon, was arrested for murder. He was arrested in Bgy. Dangay in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro on Thursday. The Roxas RTC Branch 43 issued the warrant of arrest against the accused.
In Puerto Princesa City, policemen on Thursday captured John Fernan Canillo, 21. He is tagged as one of the most wanted men in the city.
The 5th suspect, identified as Ryan Santiago, 33, is the subject of a warrant of arrest for two counts of lascivious conduct.
Joyvill Guzman, 37, the sixth arrested suspect was arrested in Bgy. San Manuel in Puerto Princesa City on Thursday for statutory rape.
