MIAA assures no disrupted operations in the next system upgrade
THE Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) assured the public that the next scheduled round of maintenance activities and upgrade of the NAIA Terminal 3 electrical systems would be meticulously planned to ensure continuous operations, especially during peak hours.
In this next phase, the upgrade works are scheduled from today, June 19 to 21 with no or minimal effect on passenger and flight operations. The activities have been timed to occur after the last flight, away from peak hours of operations.
These maintenance activities include several functionality tests and safety integrations into the existing system, including termination procedures across eight different electrical substations in NAIA Terminal 3.
MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines assures stakeholders that gensets will supply temporary power to areas under maintenance work.
