THE National Capital Region Police Office headed by Major General Sidney S. Hernia has further enhanced its efforts to ensure the welfare of Metro Manila policemen through its Comprehensive Social Benefits Program or CBSP, the Journal Group learned yesterday.

According to the NCRPO chief, they started an information drive on their CSBP and New Healthcare Access for all Philippine National Police personnel at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City.

During the event, lectures helped enhance the knowledge of NCRPO Morale and Welfare personnel regarding the crucial role they play in processing benefits for families of policemen killed or wounded in action or police operations.

Local Government CSBP program manager Joycelyn M. Cabafia spearheaded the info-drive rollout as she elaborated on the different forms of assistance provided under the program.

They include financial aid, health care support, housing grants, and employment assistance. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of quick and accurate processing to ensure that the benefits reach the families of affected personnel without delay.

The CSBP was part of the broader commitment of the DILG-PNP to honor the service of fallen and injured officers and ensure that their families receive the necessary support in times of need.

By educating the MWS personnel on the program’s process, the NCRPO aims to streamline the delivery of these benefits, ensuring that no family is left behind, said Maj. Gen. Hernia.

The NCRPO chief likewise highlighted the ongoing efforts of the PNP leadership headed by General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil to expand personnel welfare by making Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) services available to members of the 232,000-strong police force.

He said the CBSP is a significant step in enhancing healthcare access within the force even as he reiterated that programs like this are vital in boosting the morale of active-duty officers and their families by providing them with a sense of security and support.
