MC rider dies in San Mateo road crash
A RIDER was killed after his motorcycle collided with a truck loaded with sand while traversing along the highway in Gen. Luna Street, Guinayang, San Mateo, Rizal last Sunday.
Initial investigation showed that at around 1:30 a.m. on February 19, both motor vehicles were traveling in different directions wherein the color blue Honda Beat, driven by the victim heading towards Rodriguez town in Rizal direction when it accidentally collided with the Shacman truck, loaded with sand heading toward Marikina City direction.
The motorbike rider sustained grave injuries in different parts of the body and was rushed to Casimiro Ynares Hospital but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Meanwhile, the truck driver was placed under arrest by personnel of San Mateo town police and brought to the police station for proper disposition.
A case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against the driver is now being prepared for filing in court.
