MC driver, back rider killed in QC road mishap
A MOTORCYCLE (MC) rider and his back rider were killed past midnight on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, after being hit by a truck in Quezon City.
A report from the Quezon City Police District’s (QCPD) Traffic Sector 6 showed the accident occurred in Barangay Talipapa at around 12:30 a.m.
The MC rider and his unidentified male companion were hit by a tractor truck at a U-turn slot near Old Sauyo Road.
The two sustained severe injuries due to the impact of the collision.
Rescuers who arrived at the scene declared the victims “dead on the spot” because of their injuries.
Police arrested the truck driver and were put into custody for further investigation.
He is being held on charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and damage to property.
