Mayor Oca tests positive for COVID
CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan on Wednesday morning announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
” Ikinalulungkot kong ipabatid na ako ay nakumpirmang positibo sa COVID -19. Ako ay nasa maayos na kalagayan at kasalukuyang nagpapagaling.” Mayor Oca said in his statement.
Despite his present condition, Mayor Oca said he will continue to perform all his duties as mandated by the Constitution to address the needs of the Caloocan residents.
”Umasa po kayo na ang inyong lingkod ay patuloy na nakaantabay sa mga nagaganap at pangyayari sa ating lungsod habang patuloy ang aking komunikasyon sa mga iba’t ibang sangay ng ating pamahalaan,” he assured his constituents.
Mayor Oca also encouraged his close contacts these recent days to have themselves quarantine and undergo swab testing.
He added that the City Government had regular free RT-PCR test for city residents and all they have to do is to contact the City Health Department or the Barangay Health Center that covers their area or call COVID-19 hotlines at 09668274519 or 09478834430.
“Umasa po tayo na malalampasan natin ang pandemyang nagdulot nang matinding kahirapan at sakripisyo sa ating bayan sa pamamagitan ng ating pananampalataya at pagdasal sa Poong Maykapal,” Mayor Oca said.
