AMINADO si Mavy Legaspi na pinangarap talaga niya na maging host ng Eat Bulaga. Kaya naman nang matupad ito matapos magbitiw ang Tito, Vic and Joey sa TAPE, Inc., dedma ang isa sa kambal nina Carmina Villarroel at Zoren Legaspi sa matinding pangungutya at pambabash na tinatanggap mula sa netizens.

Sa katatapos na mediacon ng latest project nila ng perennial screen partner at rumored girlfriend na si Kyline Alcantara, ang Luv Is: Love at First Read sa Kapuso channel, sinabi niya na, “Yeah, definitely. I mean, bata pa ako pinapanood ko na sila. And my grandma, she’s a big fan together with my parents… (She’s) my biggest supporter and napaka-grabe nu’ng tough love n’ya, ’yong pagmamahal n’ya sa akin. So, yeah, it’s definitely a dream come true.”

Ayon pa sa binata, malaking blessing ang hosting job na ito sa revamped EB.

“And I’m always blessed. If it’s not with this opportunity, I’m always blessed, given (the) opportunity to work. Teleserye man ’yan, talk show, game show… kahit ano pa man ’yan, I always take it as a blessing talaga,” katwiran niya.

Malaking bahagi siyempre ang mga magulang nila ni Cassy sa desisyon na tanggapin ang alok ng pamilya Jalosjos.

Dagdag ni Mavy, malaki ang push na binigay ni Daddy Zoren dito.

“Ito nga ’yung sinabi n’ya sa akin. I believe them kasi they’ve been in the industry for so long and they know kung anong opportunity ang dapat i-grab para ma-improve mo ang skills mo whatsoever,” dugtong niya.

Kahit medyo sensitive sa isyu, ito rin ang naging stand ng mommy nilang si Carmina, na matatandaang matagal naging bahagi ng Eat Bulaga family noon. Paliwanag ni Mavy, “Doon siya sa improvement ng mga anak niya, towards Cassy and I, and I appreciate that. Alam ko close to heart ’yung EB sa kanya and very sensitive s’ya. Of course, we’re clean. We’re clean on the personal side. I won’t talk about that but I just want to put it out there, on the personal end and the family, and together with the EB hosts (meaning, TVJ), we’re good. Trabaho lang. That’s what they said.”

Sinabi rin niya na todo-suporta si Kyline sa career move niyang ito.

“Pagdating sa amin, she is always supportive of my decision. So, hindi man sa opinion, dahil I have my own life, she has her own life, she can decide what she wants, I can decide for what I want.

Pero napaka-supportive ni Kyline po sa akin,” diin niya. “She texts me every time bago ako sumalang sa stage and malaking tulong po ‘yon. She’s very supportive.”

Nag-agree rin si Mavy sa sinabi ng EB co-host niyang si Paolo Contis na trabaho lang ang lahat, walang personalan.

Wala raw sa agenda nila ang maliitin, burahin o palitan ang TVJ at OG Dabarkads.

Humirit din ang binata na sana ay bigyan nga sila at ang revamped EB ng chance ng publiko.

Sey ni Mavy, “We will never be here to try to replace… like to go over or just be at their level. They have done so much for this industry and I definitely respect that.

“But of course, on our end, we want a chance kasi nagtatrabaho lang po kami like with what Kuya Paolo said na we were just called down upon this job.

“And we are just doing our job. And again, on my personal end, I’m just here to improve every day, to make our fans… to make my personal fans happy and that’s the main goal,” giit pa ni Mavy.
