GUIMBAL, Iloilo — Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte assured voters that her runningmate former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. never and will not sleep with the state enemies just to win these elections.

In her speech during the miting de avance for Visayas held here, Mayor Sara asked Ilonggos to vote for the UniTeam as they will continue to push for peace and order.

“Bongbong Marcos will never sleep with the enemies of the state,” stressed.

Capping the 90-day campaign period, the UniTeam has decided to hold at least three miting de avance to which its first stop is the Visayas region.

Mayor Sara did not mention names of the candidates who reportedly talked to some rebel or communist groups to get their support.

The presidential daughter first narrated a painful story of a father from Davao City who died after a rebel group burned several equipment inside two factories sometime in April 2017.

She said she was already the Davao mayor when the group attacked the company and set it ablaze. Before leaving, the enemies of state planted a bomb.

“Bago sila tumakas, nag-iwan sila ng bomba. Pagsabog nung bomba, namatay ang isang lalaki,” Duterte lamented.

Duterte would later call the victim Larry and describe how his death affected her psyche.

She recalled seeing how nurses tried to save the severely injured Larry. The least she could do was to reach out to Larry’s wife so she could bring her to the hospital.

Duterte said the blast took place on the day of Larry and his wife’s anniversary.

Three days after [the blast] namatay si Larry. As a mayor, pag ikaw namamatayan na ganyan, hindi mo ‘yan makakalimutan,” she narrated.
