Man yields gun, bullets in Tarlac raid

POLICEMEN in Tarlac arrested a man for possession of numerous guns and a large volume of various bullets in a raid at his house in Bgy. Coral, Paniqui, Tarlac.

The suspect, identified as Walter Galatiera, according to Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., was nabbed based on a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 105 in Paniqui, Tarlac.

Joint personnel of the Provincial Intelligence Unit, together with Paniqui police, seized from the suspect’s house a shotgun with four bullets, a .38 caliber pistol with five bullets, a holster, a cleaning kit, 69 bullets for .45 caliber gun, 14 empty shells, 21 bullets for shotgun, nine bullets for caliber .38, two bullets for .9mm, one bullet for 5.56, one bullet for 7.62, and three magazines of .45 caliber gun.

The suspects will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and violation of Comelec Resolution No 10918 or the ban on the bearing, carrying or transporting of firearms or deadly weapons and employment, availment or engagement of the services of security personnel or bodyguards during the election period.
