Man shoots son dead
POLICE are hunting down a 47-year-old man accused of shooting his own son dead in Davao City.
The Sta. Ana Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as John Michael Antonio while the victim was his son, Adrian, 17, both residents of the town.
An initial investigation showed the suspect got mad when his son asked him to transfer to another bedroom.
Before the shooting, the suspect had drinks with a friend in the bedroom.
The father allegedly got angry when his son told him to move to another room with his other sibling.
Witnesses said the irked father chased his son, who ran outside of the house, to avoid his father’s wrath.
The frightened son allegedly grabbed a stone and threw it to his father’s direction.
The father, who became more angry, got a cal.38 revolver and shot his son, hitting the victim in the neck.
Michael Antonio fled after the shooting.
Parricide charges are being readied against the suspect.
