Man shoots kuya dead over ‘mana’, kills self
A BUSINESSMAN was shot dead by his younger brother in San Francisco, Quezon.
Police identified the slain victim as Nemrod Manguerra, 54, a native of this town and presently residing at Bayhill Executive Subdivision, Calamba, Laguna.
His attacker was identified as Renerio Manguerara, 52, also a businessman and resident of Sitio Abadilla 2, Brgy. Cawayan.
Witnesses said they heard the brothers arguing followed by a gun burst at around 7 a.m.
Probers disclosed that the victim was shot by the suspect at close range then turned the gun to himself and pulled the trigger.
The elder brother sustained a gunshot wound in the back portion of his head while the suspect suffered a gunshot wound in the forehead.
Initial investigation showed the duo had a long- standing dispute over the issue on inherited properties from their parents.
